We are currently looking for a Team Leader to join our team in the Grimsby area. The geographical patch to be covered is the DN/LN postcode area.
About the Role
We are looking for a team leader to ensure the day to day efficient running of the engineering team within the designated area to facilitate a high-quality customer experience. You will be expected to have experience in any of the following disciplines: vehicle technician or mechanical engineer who has experience working with forklift trucks, a plant fitter, plant technician, vehicle technician or a similar type of role. Working with everything from small pallet trucks, through to IC trucks, VNA trucks and automated trucks, you will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults, and undertake preventative maintenance on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.
A Message from One Engineer to Another
Linde works well for me because the hours suit my lifestyle and I have a better home/work life balance. In my previous role I often worked shifts which included weekends/nights, this made making plans with family difficult. Annual leave was challenging to take unless booked a year in advance and working bank holidays was a requirement. Great salary, paid door to door and the support of the team here is invaluable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
