Team Leader
As a Team Leader, you will lead and support your allocated team to deliver quality work safely, efficiently, and in line with production schedules. You will promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with the FGS Plymouth Business Management System (BMS), and drive high standards of quality, environmental performance, and operational excellence while supporting continuous improvement across the factory.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote a safe working environment
- BMS Compliance (Policies, Procedures, SOI’s RAMS and COSHH etc).
- Safety Culture and Safe Systems of Work
- Factory Environment - Housekeeping Levels
- Risk Identification and STOP WORK (5x5)
- Lead allocated teams in the delivery of works.
- Drive works through the factory.
- Maintains the standards of workmanship (quality).
- Is responsible for maintaining traceability for all materials and associated paperwork (WIP and Quality Records).
- Daily report on progress of works complete.
- Ensure fully utilised and productive staff at all times.
- Ensure that all Environmental and waste management controls are followed by your team.
- Identify and report to Area Manager / Production Support Team on any HSE incidents or issues causing non-value added effort from the team.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- Ability to understand, evaluate and apply technical information.
- Sound judgement and the ability to make decisions under tight production deadlines.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Ability to work within and continuously improve business processes.
- Ability to share information, remove roadblocks and support team performance.
- Strong customer focus, with the ability to balance internal and external customer needs.
Preferred
- Takes personal responsibility and handles challenging situations professionally and fairly.
- Confident and diplomatic when resolving conflict or negotiating.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to challenges and continuous improvement.
