I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Team & Performance Management
A key part of the role will be getting the best out of the team.
You'll need to be comfortable analysing performance data and using it to identify where individuals or the wider team can improve.
You'll regularly review metrics such as:
- Outbound call activity
- Lead response times
- Appointments/opportunities generated
- Conversion rates
- Individual performance against target
- Pipeline activity
- Lead follow-up
- Quality of customer interactions
You'll then use this information to coach, motivate and improve performance, rather than simply reporting the numbers.
About You
We're looking for an experienced sales professional who has previously managed or led an inside sales, telesales, BDE, SDR or business development team. This could have been in the capacity of a player/manager looking to step up into a role that is purely managing a team.
