Ernest Bold Adult Short Break Service
Post: Team Leader
Post to start at the earliest from 2nd January 2027
Salary: Grade 6 £36,363 - £40,777 (pro rata £18,181.50 - £20,388.50 per year)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 18.5 hours per week, over three days, working between the hours of 7am and 10pm (Post to commence at the earliest from 2nd January 2027)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader to join our Adult Short Breaks Service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team delivering high-quality, person-centred support to adults with disabilities, helping them achieve positive outcomes and live fulfilling lives.
As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and development of the people we support while providing professional leadership and supervision to staff.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience working with adults in a regulated care setting or community-based service.
- Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or managing staff.
- An understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and person-centred approaches.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

Our Working Arrangements
All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field, or flexible work style. Some roles are agile, which enable and empower employees to maximize their performance and productivity, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
- Fixed workstyle: Work in a fixed permanent council location.
- Field workstyle: Usually allocated where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location.
- Flexible workstyle: Flexible base location to meet the needs of the business, and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
