Team Leader at Avocet Court Care Home
As a Team Leader at Avocet Court Care Home, you will be responsible for leading, managing, and supporting our care team who are passionate about delivering making moments for our residents and delivering high-quality care.

Situated in a residential nook in Ipswich, our 115-bedroom Avocet Court Care Home is surrounded by beautiful gardens. As one of the top residential care homes, we provide exceptional standards of care.
We’re proud to have an award-winning activities team and a newly refurbished café that is the heart of our home. We also have fantastic sustainability credentials, including solar panels and green initiatives to minimize our environmental impact.
About The Role
As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key part with care delivery in the home. Our Team Leader supports us to ensure the highest standards of care are achieved in all areas of the home.

Development from this role can take you onto CHAPS or nursing positions, and we offer fully funded apprenticeships to help you achieve an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Salary
£15.25 per hour (inclusive of a 12.1% holiday pay uplift).
Shift Pattern
33 hours per week, 12-hour shifts worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.
Home Location
Monmouth Close, Ipswich, England, IP2 8RS.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- To be central to our care. Providing leadership and direction to the care team while on duty.
- Assist, motivate, and inspire passion into our care team to deliver exceptional outcomes in care.
- Manage supervision, appraisal, and performance management of our care team. Celebrating every individual and helping our team to achieve their potential.
- To carry out enhanced clinical care duties; clinical observations of blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, temperature, and blood oxygenation level, and monitor urine output.
Training, Skills & Experience Required
- A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.
- Experience in a similar senior care position.
- You must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proven track record for leading, empowering, supporting & motivating a team.
