Team Leader
Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (42 hours per week)
Hours: Night Shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends

Situated in one of Hull's most established residential communities, our home provides high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment where residents are supported to live fulfilling lives.

As Night Team Leader, you'll help ensure our residents receive exceptional care and support throughout the night while leading and inspiring the care team around you.

The Role
As a Team Leader, you will support the smooth running of the home overnight, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the night care team to deliver the highest standards of care.
- Assisting residents with all aspects of daily living when required, ensuring dignity, comfort, and wellbeing are always maintained.
- Supporting residents with physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
- Monitoring and supporting residents who may experience confusion, dementia, or behavioural challenges.
- Promoting independence and encouraging residents to maintain their individual abilities wherever possible.
- Supporting residents with mobility needs and ensuring appropriate use of equipment and aids.
- Assisting with continence care and personal care where required.
- Providing compassionate end-of-life care and supporting residents and families during difficult times.
- Completing and reviewing care plans, risk assessments, and daily records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Responding promptly to nurse call systems, telephone enquiries, and visitors.
- Liaising with healthcare professionals, including GPs, district nurses, and external support services.
- Mentoring, training, and supporting new and junior team members.
- Ensuring a safe, calm, and welcoming environment throughout the night.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines excellent care knowledge with strong leadership skills.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader role within a care home setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting older people and enhancing quality of life.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- The ability to motivate, guide, and support colleagues.
- A caring, approachable, and professional manner.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with care planning and record keeping.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards achieving this qualification).
- Flexibility to work nights, including occasional weekends and evenings as required.
