Shift pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:00-17:00

The role
We're recruiting a Security Team Leader to oversee a team of Protection Officers supporting a prestigious client within the Aviation sector. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for delivering a safe, secure and resilient manufacturing environment while maintaining exceptional service standards.
You'll lead by example, manage day-to-day operations, and play a key role in incident response, team performance and client satisfaction.

- Lead and support the on-site security team, ensuring effective resourcing and absence management
- Maintain agreed service levels and escalate risks or issues to the Operations Manager
- Build strong working relationships with the client and internal stakeholders
- Oversee security operations including access control, patrols, control room and CCTV activity
- Take a leadership role during security, safety and emergency incidents
- Monitor officer performance, addressing low-level issues in line with company processes
- Manage training requirements and compliance records for the team
- Support employment relations matters on site as required
- Ensure all site instructions, policies and procedures are followed
- Promote Mitie's values, professionalism and a strong safety culture
Training & development
You'll complete mandatory and specialist training including:
- First Aid - Immediate Emergency Care (IEC) including delivery of medical gasses
- Fire safety
- Aviation security
- Control room and CCTV operations
- Spill response and emergency procedures
Health & safety
- Ensure compliance with all company and client H&S policies
- Report hazards, incidents and equipment defects promptly
- Promote safe working practices and correct use of PPE
Person specification
Essential
- Proven experience in a security leadership or supervisory role
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport
- Right to work in the UK with 5-year checkable background
- British nationality or 5 years UK residency (CTC clearance requirement)
- Calm, professional and effective under pressure
