The Opportunity

Pegasus is seeking an accomplished Team Leader to direct studies, surveys and technical planning related to seismic characteristics, geophysical investigations, risk assessment, observation, monitoring and forecasting. The successful expert will combine authoritative technical knowledge with disciplined project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the consulting team and serve as the principal technical and management interface with the client and key stakeholders.
  • Plan and direct seismic-characterisation studies, geophysical investigations and seismic risk-assessment activities.
  • Oversee the planning and design of seismic observation, monitoring and forecasting capacity-strengthening initiatives.
  • Assure the quality and consistency of technical methods, instrumentation inputs, analyses, reports and recommendations.
  • Manage the work plan, expert inputs, schedule, risks and delivery of agreed outputs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • More than 20 years of overall professional experience.
  • At least 15 years of extensive experience covering seismic monitoring service capability, seismology, engineering seismology, and the design, development and manufacture of geophysical instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated service as Team Leader or Lead Management Consultant on not fewer than 10 relevant international projects involving seismic studies, surveys, risk assessment, observation, monitoring or forecasting.
  • Master's degree or higher in Seismology, Geology or another relevant field; a PhD in a relevant discipline is required.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder-management and technical-reporting capability in multidisciplinary and cross-cultural settings.
