Our Property Services Team
Our Property Services team is at the heart of Vico Homes, ensuring homes are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for our customers. We deliver essential repair and maintenance services that directly impact the quality of life for our communities. As a Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we deliver these services, driving efficiency, and setting the standard for excellence.
What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll take the lead in delivering high-quality repair and maintenance services, managing both colleagues and external contractors to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You’ll be responsible for meeting agreed performance targets, budgets, and customer satisfaction standards while championing Vico Homes’ values. By driving innovation, maintaining robust systems, and promoting safe working practices, you’ll inspire your team to deliver excellent outcomes. Acting as a visible leader, you’ll communicate effectively, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, and a strong reputation for service excellence.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a confident and decisive leader with significant experience in construction, repairs, or maintenance, who can inspire a team and deliver results. You’ll bring strong communication skills, integrity, and a customer-focused mindset, alongside a solid understanding of health and safety legislation and the challenges facing social housing. With a Level 3 qualification in a construction-related field (or a willingness to work towards one), you’ll be comfortable managing performance, budgets, and compliance while using technology to monitor and improve processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
