£40,000 - £48,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Progression + Benefits
Location: Stroud
Do you have a mechanical background and are you looking for a hands-on, static supervisory role within a business that rewards you with regular bonuses, plenty of overtime to significantly boost your earnings, and opportunities to upskill and progress your career?
On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established engineering firm that designs and manufactures bespoke products within a multi-functional workshop. The company is continuing to expand to meet growing demand and places a strong focus on developing its employees through internal progression and career development opportunities.
In this hands-on, static role, you'll spend the majority of your time working alongside the team on the workshop floor, while also supervising day-to-day operations, completing a limited amount of paperwork, and ensuring health and safety standards are consistently upheld.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
