The Role:

News Travels is the first stop for the traveller, providing news/magazines, books, gifts and travel essentials. Drop-in and grab the latest blockbuster title, a bottle of water and a treat for the journey.

We’re looking for a committed and enthusiastic Team Leader to join our retail family at Newcastle Airport in a Full-Time capacity. If you love connecting with people, creating memorable customer experiences, and inspiring others – this is your moment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver standout customer experiences – lead by example
  • Guide and support your team to meet service and sales targets
  • Maintain high visual merchandising and presentation standards
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team
  • Bring accountability, reliability, and positivity to every shift

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a team leadership role within a fast-paced retail or hospitality setting
  • Confident communicator and motivator
  • A passion for customer service and making people feel welcome
  • Ability to stay organised, focused, and cool under pressure
  • A respectful and team-oriented attitude
  • Flexible availability (early mornings, nights, weekends & holidays)
  • Valid working rights & ability to obtain an Aviation Security ID Card
