Role: Team Leader : Raw Materials
Salary: A GBP 36,035.72 rising to A GBP 38,035.72 once you have completed your probation period
Location: Leamington Spa
Permanent
Day shift position only
Role Summary
The Team Leader will combine hands-on operational responsibilities with day-to-day team leadership, supporting the effective running of Raw Materials. The role will focus on delivering operational excellence, maintaining high standards of health and safety, developing team capability and driving continuous improvement.
You will lead daily shift activities in line with production requirements while proactively addressing operational challenges and collaborating with teams across the wider manufacturing environment.

Role and Responsibilities of a Team Leader
- Lead daily shift operations to meet production targets safely and efficiently.
- Deliver team briefs covering safety, production requirements and operational issues.
- Monitor KPIs, team performance, shortages, FLT availability and downtime.
- Ensure FLTs are operational, charged and all pre-use checks are completed.
- Resolve operational, stock and performance issues promptly.
- Manage attendance, holiday cover and team conduct in line with company procedures.
- Maintain stock accuracy, rotation, part identification and damage prevention.
- Coordinate oil tank audits, replenishment and scrap collections.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety tours and SHE investigations, ensuring full H and S compliance.
- Report and investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.
- Train and develop team members, maintaining the skills matrix and cross-training targets.
- Conduct return-to-work, investigation and disciplinary meetings.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, efficiency and ergonomics.
- Work cross-functionally to resolve issues and implement operational improvements.
- Support trials and commissioning of new tooling and equipment.
- Optimise storage, reduce waste and ensure timely material supply and dispatch.
