DC Team Leader
The DC Team Leader will be required to organise, coordinate and distribute work, and oversee staff within their work area to ensure they are performing their duties in a safe manner. In accordance with company standards and policy, the DC Team Leader’s primary objectives are to meet set deadlines, maximise operational efficiency and maintain cost effectiveness. This position may require you to supervise work in other key areas and departments within the UKDC depending on the business needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinating work and assisting in supervising staff in day to day operations of the UKDC.
- Complete relevant documentation as required, maintain an accurate record keeping system, and prepare all relevant reports and data as required by Supervisor/management team.
- Develop and maintain effective and efficient work processes and procedures complying with SOX/safe system of works requirements.
- Maintain a level of standard within the KPI’s and objectives set.
- Ensure team members are trained and follow safe work practices.
- Coach and develop your own team.
- Carry out Equipment Operator general responsibilities and duties as and when required.
- Other tasks deemed suitable based on knowledge and experience as required by the UKDC Supervisor or Operations Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
- Overseeing team members during working shift.
- Provide direction and support to team members.
- Motivate and inspire team to achieve objectives and KPI’s.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Ensure equitable distribution of work.
- Monitor progress and adjust workloads as necessary.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team.
- Liaise between team members and upper management.
- Assisting in communicating and implementing organisational changes.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Previous experience in a logistics environment.
- Supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe work practices.
- Knowledge of IN - OUTBOUND logistics flow.
- Knowledge of WMS - WCS (AS 400 or similar).
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience of RF scanners and common warehouse tools, equipment and other logistic technologies.
- Proven people management skills.
