Role Description
The Team Leader role is a full-time, on-site position based in Derby. The Team Leader will oversee day-to-day operations for a designated team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, safely, and in line with company standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and allocating work
- Monitoring performance
- Providing guidance and support
- Promoting adherence to safety and compliance procedures

Qualifications
- Experience leading teams or supervising staff in an operational, service, or technical environment, with the ability to motivate, support, and develop team members.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to schedule workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders both in person and in writing.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality, ensuring work is carried out accurately, safely, and in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues, improving processes, and supporting continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with fire and security services, safety standards, or regulatory compliance is advantageous, along with a willingness to learn sector-specific requirements.
- Proficiency with basic IT tools and business systems (e.g., email, spreadsheets, scheduling or CRM software) to manage information and support team operations.
- Relevant vocational training or a qualification in management, leadership, or a related field is beneficial; prior experience in a family-run or customer-focused business is a plus.
