About the Role

At Gloucestershire, we are committed to achieving the very best outcomes for our Children in Care. To do this, we need exceptional leaders who are passionate about supporting children, carers, and practitioners to achieve lasting stability and positive change.

We are proud of the progress we have made and the strong foundations we have built. As we continue to develop our Stability Provision within Children in Care Services, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to lead our Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a service that provides practical and meaningful support to children in care, those who care for them, and professionals across the wider provision.

As one of five Team Leaders within the Stability Provision, you will report directly to the Service Manager and play a key role in:

  • Leading the Support Team within the Stability Provision.
  • Developing and embedding high-quality operational practice that improves outcomes and stability for children in care.
  • Supporting carers and children through responsive and relationship-based services.
  • Working collaboratively with social work teams, carers, and partner agencies to ensure children's needs are met and their potential is realized.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of innovative and effective support services across the provision.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
