Team Leader - Traffic Orders

Salary range: £55,323 - £58,461 per annum inclusive of London weighting

Contract: Permanent / Fixed term (period) / Secondment / As and when

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Civic Centre and other locations from time to time

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader for Traffic Orders to join our Healthy Streets and Parking Team who will be responsible for the statutory compliance for the making of Traffic Management Orders for parking and traffic restrictions which contributes to improving public safety.

In this role, you will be required to manage the traffic order making team that are responsible for preparing and implementing all permanent and temporary traffic regulation orders.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the programme and the legality of the orders whilst also managing and mentoring members of the traffic order team.

In addition, you will also lead on relevant service improvements including the Digital Map Based Traffic Order project, improving public information and efficiencies in processes.

About you

To be successful you will need to have good knowledge and understanding of The Road Traffic Regulation Act and other traffic and highways legislation plus good working knowledge of traffic and parking design standards.

You will be required to have practical experience in traffic order making and able to give direction on any legal matters associated with drafting and completing traffic orders and statutory notices without legal challenge.
