Team Leader, Warehouse
AliveDx is recruiting for a Team Leader to join the Warehouse team based near Edinburgh. As Team Leader, you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient receipt, storage, handling and movement of inventory. You will play a key role in ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support manufacturing and customer requirements.
The role is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
Your Mission
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and coordinate daily warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, compliant and customer-focused service
- Provide leadership to the warehouse team, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, development, performance management and employee engagement.
- Ensure robust inventory control through stock management, cycle counting, reconciliation and effective inventory governance.
- Manage and monitor warehouse KPIs and operational performance, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Develop and continuously improve warehouse processes, layouts, storage solutions, systems and workflows to improve efficiency, quality and service.
- Maintain a high level of audit readiness and represent warehouse operations during internal and external audits, ensuring findings are addressed effectively and within agreed timescales.
- Ensure warehouse activities comply with GMP, GDP, GxP, Health & Safety, Quality Management Systems and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain and other stakeholders to optimise material flow and warehouse performance.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and GEMBA, to drive operational excellence.

Your Competencies
- Demonstrable experience in warehouse operations, including experience leading and developing people.
- Strong knowledge and experience of inventory management, stock control and cycle counting processes.
- Experience working with ERP and/or WMS platforms and a strong understanding of business inventory controls.
- Experience of transportation, third-party logistics and warehouse management.
- Proven experience of process optimisation, workflow improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Experience working within a regulated environment, ideally with exposure to GMP, GDP or wider GxP requirements.
- Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing operational demands.
- The ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders across Production, Procurement, Quality and Supply Chain.
- Knowledge or experience within transfusion diagnostics, medical devices or manufacturing would be advantageous, as would an understanding of FDA and ISO 13485 requirements.
