Are you an experienced care professional looking to take the next step in your career? Do you have a passion for supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives while leading and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding care?
Lifeways is soon to open a brand-new one-person supported living service in the Winlaton area. The person you will be supporting has learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours of concern, and we are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to help shape and lead this exciting new service from the very beginning.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact by building a positive, person-centred environment that promotes independence, wellbeing, and meaningful outcomes.
The person supported enjoys colouring, jigsaws, music and dancing, as well as calming activities such as yoga and meditation. They also enjoy going out in the car, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Supporting the individual with daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning, personal care, and medication administration where required.
- Ensuring support plans, risk assessments, and behavioural support strategies are followed and regularly reviewed.
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion in all aspects of support.
- Assisting with staff supervision, coaching, training, and ongoing development.
- Supporting rota management, service administration, and quality assurance activities.
- Encouraging participation in community activities and hobbies that are important to the individual.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience working within Health & Social Care.
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex behaviours.
- Leadership or senior support experience is desirable.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering person-centred support.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
