Working pattern: Weekly rotation shifts: Week 1: 0600-1430hrs Week 2: 1400–2230hrs
About the Role:
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will support the day-to-day management of our warehouse operation, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and customer service standards are achieved. Leading a team of up to 30 colleagues, you will act as a key link between warehouse operatives and management, helping to create an engaged, high-performing, and safety-focused working environment. This role offers the opportunity to develop your people management skills while driving continuous improvement across the operation.
How you will contribute:
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily operational targets.
- Organise workloads and allocate resources effectively to ensure productivity and service levels are maintained.
- Conduct absence management activities, return-to-work meetings, investigations, and disciplinary processes in line with company procedures.
- Monitor operational performance, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, and compliance throughout the warehouse operation.
- Coach and develop team members on warehouse processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Liaise with colleagues across multiple departments to ensure operational requirements are met.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service, and team performance.
- Deputise for the Supervisor when required, providing leadership and operational support.

What you will bring:
- Previous experience leading or supervising teams within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Strong people management experience, including performance management, absence management, and employee engagement.
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation, quality standards, and warehouse operational processes.
- Experience conducting investigations and supporting disciplinary processes.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational and workload planning skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build positive working relationships across teams and with customers.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
