Team Leader & Brand Ambassador – Niche Perfumes

Selfridges Manchester Exchange

Perfumes and department store experience is a must.
Do not apply if no sales experience.
Salary up to 26k
Full-Time | Permanent

Atelier Niche is an independent luxury fragrance and beauty distribution company, bringing some of the world's finest niche perfume houses to the UK's most prestigious department stores — including Selfridges, Harrods, Liberty London, Harvey Nichols, and others.

We are looking for a passionate and driven Team Leader & Brand Ambassador to join our counter at Selfridges Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to combine genuine expertise in niche perfumery with natural leadership, playing a key role in delivering an outstanding client experience on one of the UK's most celebrated beauty floors.

The Role

As Team Leader, you will support the day-to-day running of the Selfridges counter, leading by example on the shop floor and ensuring every client receives an elevated, memorable experience. You will act as the primary brand ambassador for our portfolio of niche fragrance houses, representing their stories, heritage, and craftsmanship with confidence and authenticity.

This is a hands-on role — you will be selling, engaging, and inspiring alongside your team every day, while also taking responsibility for operational and team management tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Engagement

  • Lead from the front through active selling and meaningful client engagement on the shop floor.
  • Drive key performance indicators including conversion rate, average transaction value (ATV), units per transaction (UPT), and client retention.
  • Build genuine, long-term relationships with clients — including VIP and returning customers.
  • Deliver personalised fragrance consultations, guiding clients through our portfolio with knowledge, enthusiasm, and care.
  • Support promotional events, product launches, and in-store activations at Selfridges Birmingham.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
