Permanent Team Leader/Supervisor Opportunity - Nuclear Restoration Services
About the Role
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Team Leader/Supervisor to join our team on our Nuclear Restoration services account in NRS Harwell - 404 Rutherford Avenue.
Standard Hours of Work
- 37 hours per week
- Shift pattern: 9 Day fortnight
- Week 1: Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 5pm, Friday 7.45am to 12am
- Week 2: Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 5pm, Friday off
As a Team Leader/Supervisor, you will oversee the safe and effective delivery of planned, reactive, and minor project works carried out by subcontractors across mechanical, building, and civil disciplines at NRS Harwell. You will coordinate contractor activities, ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and works control requirements, and manage projects from planning through to successful completion, maintaining high standards of quality, cost, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the safe delivery of subcontracted maintenance and project works.
- Review and approve Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), Risk Assessments, and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Coordinate contractor appointments, surveys, quotations, and purchase orders.
- Schedule subcontractor activities and agree work programmes.
- Arrange site access, visitor bookings, security clearances, and permits.
- Ensure contractors comply with site safety, security, and works control procedures.
- Monitor planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure completion within agreed timescales.
- Oversee subcontractor performance, quality standards, budgets, and project delivery.
- Conduct site inspections, spot checks, and contractor escorts where required.
- Manage project risks, changes in scope, and client approval processes.
- Ensure all documentation, reports, and compliance records are completed accurately.
- Report project completion status and supplier payment information to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide excellent customer service and post-completion support.
- Support on-call duties when required and undertake other duties appropriate to the role.

What You Will Bring
- Ideally from a construction or maintenance works background with experience in providing services within a team of technical managers and surveyors.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role / HNC or technical qualification equivalent.
- Be IT literate with a very good understanding of Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Use of a CAFM / CMMS system for planning / recording works.
- Strong health and safety knowledge – IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum, NEBOSH desirable.
- Awareness of potential environmental impacts arising from maintenance and project works and understanding of the importance of minimizing harm.
- Previous experience in managing Sub Contract works.
- Understanding of principles of commercial M&E, civils, building fabric maintenance, and construction works.
- Ability to draft and review suitable and sufficient RAMS to allow works to be completed in a safe manner.
- Full driving license.
