Band 7 Registered Nurse in Learning Disability (RNLD) - Team Lead Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Registered Nurse in Learning Disability (RNLD) to join the established CALDS (Child and Adolescent Learning Disability Service) which is a community-based multi-disciplinary team within the Children, Young People (CYP) and Family Health Service.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and experienced clinician to join our service in a Team Lead role for our tertiary response pathway (called Cyfuno). This is a key leadership role, providing clinical, operational, and strategic oversight to a specialist multidisciplinary team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that vulnerable children and young people receive timely, coordinated, and effective support during periods of crisis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on risk assessment, decision-making and crisis planning
- Liaise with Safeguarding and Risk & Governance Leads
- Chair and contribute to multi-agency meetings for complex and high-risk children
- Drive quality improvement, audit, and governance processes
- Work with professional leads to manage workload
- Co-develop service delivery and outcome measures
- Foster strong inter-agency relationships to support integrated care

Requirements
We are looking for a forward-thinking RNLD who has in-depth knowledge of factors affecting the health and wellbeing of children with LD, reasonable adjustments that may be required, behaviours that are challenging and complex needs, along with an interest in supporting the development and improvement of the service.
- Ability to support CYP and their families; delivering good quality, individualized and evidenced-based care
- Skills to work in a team and as an individual
- Confident to work within their competencies and be able to adapt to the changing needs of the service
Language
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
