Team Manager - Targeted Family Help

Location: Barrow area

About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop Family Help services at a time of significant transformation. You will join a service committed to empowering families, strengthening communities and helping children achieve the best possible outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Team Manager to lead our Targeted Family Help Team. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring children, young people and families receive the right support at the right time, enabling positive and sustainable outcomes.

You will provide leadership, supervision and professional guidance to a team of practitioners delivering strengths-based, trauma-informed and systemic interventions. Working closely with partners across education, health, social care, police and the voluntary sector, you will drive service excellence, quality assurance and continuous improvement.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A relevant qualification at NVQ Level 4 or above in health and social care, youth work, education or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience working with children, young people and families within Family Help, Early Help or Early Intervention services.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience.
  • Strong understanding of legislation, policy and practice relating to children and young people.
  • Experience of performance management, quality assurance and service improvement.
  • Excellent communication, partnership-building and influencing skills.
  • A commitment to strengths-based, trauma-informed and restorative approaches.
