Our Securities Data Operations team provides investment instruments data expertise to

investment teams, securing data fundamentals, developing, and operating the data quality framework.

Your role

As part of our Operations department, you will be responsible for line management of our Securities Data Operations team consisting of 2 team members in London 1 in Geneva and 2 in Singapore.

  • Oversee the daily setup and maintenance of investment securities, including pricing and reference data.
  • Monitor deliverables linked to innovation, technology and business initiatives.
  • Develop and build the Data Operations function towards a Target Operating Model, and be considered as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Ownership of all Data Operations BAU activities with a focus on risk control, efficiencies and improving overall effectiveness of the team:
  • Secure daily data production tasks; delivering work of high quality and ensure BAU risk is kept to a minimum.
  • Set up securities accurately and promptly to enable trading, managing exceptions as needed.
  • Resolve issues/exceptions in a timely manner and escalate to management as required.
  • Continually improve and develop procedures/processes as the business advances by presenting findings and recommendations to the team.
  • In partnership with the Head of Data Operations work to define, deliver, and drive innovation and change management processes as required. For example, participate in the evolution of data management processes and the enhancement of our Enterprise Data Management (EDM) solution within an agile framework.
  • Provide state of the art operational data expertise to support investment teams and build strong connections with business stakeholders including the data team based in Singapore.
  • Develop team members and support their growth within the organisation.

  • Educated to degree level and relevant professional qualification(s), such as CFA, preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role within asset management, investment banking or financial vendors.
  • Previous people-management experience is preferred, including coaching and developing team members, managing performance, setting objectives, conducting appraisals and providing constructive feedback.
  • Strong knowledge of static data across all security types.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, and portfolio valuation (ETD, OTC, Alternative Assets).
  • Good knowledge of investment operations systems and data providers, i.e. Simcorp, NeoXam and data providers Bloomberg, Rimes, LSEG.
  • Systems technical knowledge welcome, i.e. navigation of system message queues.
