Role Description

The Team Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at PMG Karting World’s venue in Worcestershire. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the track and in the customer areas, ensuring a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for all guests.

  • Managing and scheduling staff
  • Coordinating race events and group bookings
  • Monitoring safety procedures
  • Resolving customer issues in a professional manner

The Team Manager will support staff training, maintain high service standards, and collaborate with leadership on improvements to operational processes and guest experience. The role also involves basic administrative duties such as reporting, stock oversight, and communication with suppliers or partners as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in team leadership or supervisory roles in hospitality, leisure, or customer-facing environments, with the ability to motivate and support diverse staff.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, including conflict resolution and the ability to provide clear instructions to guests and team members.
  • Operational and organizational skills, such as staff scheduling, task prioritization, event coordination, and attention to safety and compliance procedures.
  • Basic administrative and problem-solving abilities, including record-keeping, incident reporting, and handling day-to-day venue issues calmly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time, including evenings and weekends as required, and maintain a professional, approachable demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in karting, motorsport, or activity-based venues is advantageous but not essential; a strong interest in leisure or sports is beneficial.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in health and safety, first aid, or customer service are an asset.
