We're excited to be opening our brand-new Lichfield Distribution Centre in early 2027 and are now recruiting permanent, full-time Team Managers to join our team.

We have opportunities available across both day and night shifts, offering the chance to play a key role in shaping the future success of M&S during an exciting period of transformation.

These are full-time positions working a 12-hour shift pattern, on a two-week rotating schedule.

As a Team Manager your role will be to:

  • Lead and empower our colleagues, through coaching and development to improve their performance, so we can deliver the right products, to the right places, at the right time - you'll be right at the heart of it!

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include to:

  • Coach, lead and motivate warehouse colleagues ensuring we achieve site targets
  • Proactively manage the people agenda (including wellbeing, absence, performance management & development), applying consistent application of policy and advice
  • Actively promote colleague engagement ensuring all colleagues feel valued and supported
  • Manage operational processes to improve productivity
  • Support Shift Managers in planning, managing and adjusting resourcing levels in line with planned and flexed volumes dependent on sales
  • Drive a positive culture of Health & Safety by leading by example and following the standard process requirements
  • Encourage a one team approach across all functions to deliver site targets and exceed customer expectation

  • An experienced leader of teams, providing clear direction through proactive engagement
  • A target driven self-starter who thrives within a fast-paced environment
  • A solid operator with a good understanding of the impact of commercial outcomes/impact on other areas of the business
  • Customer centric, passionate about putting the customer at the centre of all decisions and exceeding their expectations for quality, efficiency and accuracy
  • Flexible in your approach to work, sleeves rolled up and hands on
