Team Manager - Litigation (EDM)

Role Purpose:

You will be working within an international law firm based in either Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, or London. The firm has a delivery center that supports the wider sub-groups. Within this role, you will lead the Electronic Data Management team – due to the nature of the work, litigation/contentious experience is useful.

The EDM team is one of a number of functions within the wider delivery center. It supports the groups by undertaking document review activity. Reviews will generally form part of a larger engagement, often involving litigation, regulatory investigation, or other forms of document production requests. As Team Manager, you will work closely with instructing lawyers and clients to plan, organize, and manage the review.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will be a qualified solicitor; however, this is a non-fee-earning role.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Take day-to-day ownership of the EDM team's output, working alongside and supporting paralegals to keep quality consistently high.
  • Act as the main contact for instructing lawyers and clients, keeping them updated on progress and flagging resourcing risks before they become problems.
  • Hold line management responsibility for the team, including performance reviews and ongoing development.
  • Be the first port of call when issues arise, escalating where needed.
  • Keep working practices consistent and make sure quality checks are properly embedded, not just on paper.
  • Spot gaps in the team's skills and arrange coaching or training to close them.
  • Manage staffing levels so reviews are properly resourced.
  • Own the team's playbooks and documentation, keeping them current and genuinely useful.
  • Look for ways to improve how the function operates, from process to training to documentation.
