About the Role
In this rewarding role, you report to a Registered Manager who covers a region with multiple services. You will lead a dedicated team of Support Workers across two services in Abergavenny. They are delivering high-quality, person-centred care that empowers individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives. Your time will be spent across your services, where the teams support people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and higher personal care needs, ensuring they receive dignified, compassionate support tailored to their needs.
Our care services are built around promoting independence, building confidence, and helping individuals develop new skills. The people we support enjoy busy, active social lives, and maintaining their connection with the community is incredibly important to them. Your leadership will play a key role in ensuring they continue to access opportunities, explore their interests, and enjoy meaningful experiences each day.
As Team Manager, you will be responsible for guiding and developing your team, ensuring the services run smoothly, safely, and in line with all regulatory and organisational standards. You will champion person-centred care, making sure each individual’s aspirations remain at the heart of everything we do while delivering service excellence with professionalism and empathy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
