Team Manager – Delivery Operations
Location: Knowsley
Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible shifts on a rolling rota (AM, PM)
Operating Hours: 05:00 – 00:00
Reports to: Operations Manager
About the Role
At Ocado Logistics, we’re always looking for passionate people leaders who can help drive operational excellence and deliver outstanding service to our customers.
We have two exciting opportunities for Team Managers – Delivery Operations to join our growing spoke at Knowsley. As part of a seven-person management team, you’ll play a key role in leading and supporting the delivery operation — ensuring it runs safely, efficiently, and in line with Ocado standards. Each Team Manager will oversee around 120 drivers per shift, contributing to the success of a team of approximately 400 colleagues on site.
This is a fast-paced, people-focused role where you’ll make a real difference to the day-to-day running of our delivery service.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and lead the daily delivery operation on your shift
- Monitor live routes, resolving delivery issues and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Oversee driver performance, attendance, and engagement
- Liaise with call centre and driver teams to maintain high service quality
- Complete administrative and reporting tasks accurately and efficiently – this role requires strong IT proficiency
- Support with health & safety and fleet management, including vehicle checks and route planning
- Coach and develop your team, promoting a positive, safety-first culture
- Conduct performance, absence, and disciplinary meetings in line with policy

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a fast-paced operational or logistics environment
- Previous team leader or management experience, ideally in delivery, transport, warehouse, or customer service
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure
- IT proficient – confident using tracking systems, reporting tools, and admin platforms
- Experience managing formal people processes (performance meetings)
- A customer-first approach, understanding how great delivery drives brand reputation
- Flexibility to work across rotating shifts, including weekends
