Beds and Bars is looking for a friendly Team Member for bar and reception duties based in Shepherds Bush. This role keeps guests welcomed, comfortable and served promptly — an important part of delivering a positive experience in hospitality and travel environments.
Purpose of the role
The Team Member will deliver efficient, professional front-of-house service across bar and reception. You will be a first point of contact for guests, support check-in/check-out processes, serve drinks and snacks, and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment that reflects the standards expected in catering, hospitality and travel settings.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and manage reception tasks, including check-in and check-out procedures.
- Prepare and serve drinks and light refreshments at the bar, following safe handling and hygiene practices.
- Handle guest enquiries and resolve routine issues or escalate when necessary.
- Take payments and operate tills accurately; follow cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of bar, seating areas and reception desk.
- Support basic stock management and replenish supplies as required.
- Work with colleagues to ensure smooth handovers and shift coverage.

Essential Skills And Experience
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role in hospitality, catering or travel-related services.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, guest-focused manner.
- Basic numeracy and experience operating tills or point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work a shift pattern typical for front-of-house roles, including evenings and weekends where required.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a small team.
Desirable Skills And Experience
- Experience working at a bar or in reception within hostels, hotels or similar accommodation settings.
- Knowledge of basic drink preparation and food hygiene awareness.
- Experience with simple stock control and ordering processes.

Qualifications
- No specific formal qualifications are required, though a food hygiene certificate or relevant hospitality training is an advantage.
- Right to work in the UK is required as an eligibility condition.

- Working pattern: Full-time, Permanent.
- Pay: £12.71 to £13.71 per Hour.
