About The Role
What does the average day look like?
No two days are the same in this varied role. You'll support multiple teams by managing diaries, organising meetings, coordinating travel, maintaining records and keeping SharePoint up to date. Working with stakeholders across the business, you'll help priorities stay on track and provide efficient day-to-day support.
A Little Bit About The Team...
The Performance & Insights team sits within Network Rail's Rail Investment Centre of Excellence (RICoE). We transform data, assurance findings and portfolio intelligence into clear, actionable insight that helps improve project delivery, manage risk and support better investment decisions across one of the UK's largest infrastructure portfolios. Our team brings together experts in assurance, risk, performance, benchmarking and knowledge management, all working towards a common goal: helping Network Rail deliver better outcomes for passengers, freight users and taxpayers. As a Team Organiser, you'll be at the heart of the team, providing the coordination, organisation and support that enables colleagues to do their best work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
