Job Overview
We have a 22.5 hour post within the Mental Health & Learning Disability Division for a Secretary to the Senior Leadership Team, based in Ablett Unit, Bodelwyddan. Working as part of the team, the post holder will be required to provide an efficient and effective administration service to the team, supporting the delivery of a high-quality service to patients and staff.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited for the position of a Band 3 Team Secretary within the Mental Health Department of the Ablett Unit.
The post holder will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Mental Health Team.
It is essential that the applicant holds Secretarial Qualifications, along with previous secretarial experience, excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, and a good telephone manner. A flexible approach to work is needed to meet the demands of the service.
The post holder will possess excellent time management skills, be well-organized, and have the ability to prioritize workload demands to meet strict deadlines, whilst producing work to the highest standards.
The post holder will also have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, using discretion, judgement, and initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential together with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to process and generate urgent and routine correspondence.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good standard of education – GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or above, or equivalent
- NVQ Business Administration Level 3 or equivalent knowledge & experience, or willing to work towards
- RSA /OCR Level 2 or equivalent experience
- IT-related qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- Ability to deal with sensitive information
Experience

- Knowledge of a range of administrative & clerical processes
- Ability to take and transcribe succinct minutes
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications.
