Job Title: Team Technician – Line 7

Location: Beckton

Job Length: Permanent (Multiple Positions available)

Salary: £28,929.61 - £34,491.53 + (Shift allowance below)

Working pattern options:

  • Double Days – 8 hrs Mon-Thu, 7 hrs Fri – (£3936.96)
  • Permanent Nights – 8 hrs Mon-Thu, 7 hrs Fri – (£8052)
  • 4 on 4 off – 2 days 12hrs 6am-6pm, 2 days 12 hrs 6pm-6am, 4 days off – (£10,131.36)

PLEASE READ: During your 6-month training period, there will be a requirement to travel to our Rugby site to be given a full induction on our equipment. Travel and expenses for this will be covered, but please speak to the team for further information.

About the role

As a Team Technician at our Beckton manufacturing site, you'll help produce and package iconic brands including Pepsi, 7UP, Tango and R White's. Working in a fast-paced FMCG environment, you'll operate and maintain production equipment, ensuring safety, quality and performance standards are achieved while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor and maintain production equipment to deliver safety, quality and performance targets.
  • Take ownership of health and safety, quality standards and housekeeping within your area.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and support root cause problem solving.
  • Drive asset care, equipment reliability and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support and develop colleagues by sharing technical knowledge and best practice.
  • Contribute to projects that improve plant performance, efficiency and ways of working.

Skills and experience

  • Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment is desirable.
  • Good understanding of health, safety and quality standards.
  • Comfortable using computer systems and interpreting technical information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO and COSHH standards would be advantageous.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, or the ability to understand technical processes and documentation.
