Teamcenter Administrator / Application Engineer
Role summary
We are looking for a Teamcenter Administrator / Application Engineer to own the day-to-day health, testing and evolution of a global Teamcenter PLM environment. You will support engineering users worldwide, validate and deploy upgrades, and act as the link between engineering, IT and software vendors.

Key responsibilities
- Administer and configure Teamcenter, including users, groups, roles, access control and permissions.
- Maintain and extend the data model using BMIDE, and support Active Workspace (AWC) configuration.
- Support Classification, NX integration and Teamcenter Visualization for engineering users.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for global users of Teamcenter, NX and related engineering applications.
- Investigate issues, carry out root cause analysis, and log and escalate defects to Siemens and other vendors.
- Design, document and run test cases and test scripts for Teamcenter updates, patches and new functionality.
- Coordinate functional, regression and UAT testing, and secure sign-off from engineering and business stakeholders.
- Package, test and deploy client updates using SCCM, Intune or similar tooling.
- Support server and client upgrades, working with infrastructure teams on environments and rollouts.
- Maintain technical documentation, test records and administration procedures.
- Gather requirements from engineering leads and help prioritise enhancements on the PLM backlog.
- Track software usage and licensing, and provide insight to support vendor and contract discussions.

Essential skills and experience
- 1 to 3+ years hands-on Teamcenter administration or application support in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of BMIDE, Active Workspace (AWC), Classification and NX integration.
- Experience supporting global engineering users at 2nd or 3rd line level.
- Proven experience writing and executing test cases, and running regression and UAT testing for software releases.
- Understanding of SDLC and structured testing methodologies.
- Scripting ability in PowerShell, Windows Batch or Linux Bash.
- Experience with Windows and Linux (SLES or similar) server environments.
- Clear communicator, comfortable working with engineers, IT teams and vendors.

Desirable skills
- Siemens or Siemens partner Teamcenter training (Admin, BMIDE, AWC).
- Exposure to Teamcenter upgrades or large-scale client rollouts.
- Familiarity with Simcenter, Altair HyperWorks, Zuken E3.Series or other CAE tools.
- Experience with SCCM, Intune, Azure and Active Directory.
- Atlassian administration (Jira, Confluence) or product owner experience.
- Background in automotive, aerospace, defence or heavy equipment manufacturing.
