Tech Delivery Lead – Customer Data Platform
📍 Reading | Hybrid – 2 days per week
💼 Permanent
We’re looking for an experienced Tech Delivery Lead to join a major transformation programme within one of the UK’s largest retailers.
Sitting within the Customer Data Platform (CDP) team, you’ll play a key role in building a capability designed to bring together customer data across digital touchpoints and support the next generation of CRM, personalisation and omnichannel customer experiences.
This is not a traditional Project Manager role. We’re looking for someone who understands how modern product and technology teams operate and can orchestrate delivery across multiple Agile squads without relying on rigid, command-and-control project management.
The role
Working closely with Product Managers, Product Owners and Technology teams, you’ll:
- Lead and coordinate delivery across three Agile product teams
- Manage cross-team dependencies, blockers and sequencing
- Partner with Product to translate roadmaps into achievable delivery outcomes
- Support quarterly planning, scoping and prioritisation
- Facilitate workshops across Product, Technology and Business teams
- Manage delivery budgets and resource requirements
- Provide visibility of progress, risks and dependencies to senior stakeholders
- Help establish effective ways of working within a brand-new team
- Drive impediments through to resolution and create alignment across multiple stakeholders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
