Job Title

Develop and maintain Java 8/11+ backend services for OmniPay’s acquiring and payment processing modules.

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize Spring Boot microservices aligned with OmniPay’s high‑performance switching and processing flows.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs for merchant acquiring, settlements, reporting, and risk-related integrations.
  • Work with messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ) for real‑time transaction processing pipelines.
  • Build robust data access layers using SQL and NoSQL databases to support OmniPay’s reporting and analytics needs.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams integrating with Fiserv’s Payments, Fraud, and Disputes APIs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years hands‑on experience in Java (Java 8/11+).
  • Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs.
  • Good understanding of messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with SQL (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra/Redis).
  • Exposure to payment systems, card processing, or acquiring platforms is a strong plus—OmniPay supports global acquirer processing across geographies.
