Job location: Remote, UK (1 day per fortnight in London or Manchester)

THE ROLE:
Our clients are looking for Tech Lead for their AWS Cloud Migration to join their team.
ABOUT YOU & THE ROLE
As an Tech Lead on the AWS Cloud Migration, you will provide technical leadership across the refactoring of legacy applications for a Tech Debt programme. Embedded alongside client teams and a broader programme network, you will guide technical design, ensure architectural alignment, and assure the quality of key deliverables to enable a seamless transition to AWS.
AWS Migration Leadership: Proven experience leading technical delivery for application migrations to AWS cloud infrastructure.

Multi-Supplier Collaboration: Strong track record of working effectively in complex, multi-supplier project environments.
Integration Expertise: Demonstrated experience with integration design or overseeing integration-focused components.
Java Frameworks (Nice to Have): Hands-on experience or familiarity with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSF) and core libraries (e.g., Apache Commons, Guava).
Modern Microservices (Nice to Have): Familiarity with microservices architecture and related tooling (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Swagger/OpenAPI).
Public Sector Context (Nice to Have): Prior experience delivering digital transformation or cloud projects within the UK public sector.
SOME THINGS YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
- Technical Leadership: Directing the technical design, development, and cloud migration of key applications.
- Architectural Alignment: Overseeing technical decisions to guarantee alignment with enterprise architecture direction and standards.
- Quality Assurance: Reviewing and assuring the quality of critical technical artefacts, codebases, and architectural documentation.
- Refactoring Strategy: Guiding the architectural breakdown and refactoring of legacy technical debt into modern, scalable cloud components.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering directly with client teams, specialists, and external suppliers across a large-scale programme environment.
