  • Architecture & system design – proven ability to design and evaluate scalable services and integrations, applying appropriate architecture patterns while balancing product goals, security, reliability and long-term system health.
  • Cloud, DevOps & Infrastructure as Code – hands-on experience building and operating cloud-native solutions in AWS, using modern CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform and GitHub.
  • Engineering quality & operational excellence – strong understanding of automated testing, code quality and security best practices, with experience troubleshooting distributed systems and using observability to improve performance and reliability.
  • Technical leadership & collaboration – able to contribute to and influence technical decisions, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing.
  • Agile delivery & continuous improvement – comfortable taking ownership from design through to production within Agile product teams, with a strong focus on customer value and continuous improvement. Experience with AI-assisted development tools is desirable; exposure to business rules engines, loyalty platforms or the travel industry would be advantageous.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
