The Role
As a Tech Lead at Murmuration, you'll take ownership of the Issuer Processor build that will be used to process cards and card payments for credit union members. Working in a small team, you will mentor and support your fellow engineers to maximise the quality of the processor whilst working as efficiently as possible. We work in an AI-native way: we expect you to be fluent with AI coding tools and have enough confidence in your own abilities to support and develop the team in working this way. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you'll be one of the first engineers here, with a real say in the product and how it's built.
About Murmuration
Murmuration is a new technology company building the core platform that credit unions run on. We provide the software, payments, and data infrastructure that lets a credit union offer its members modern digital banking without having to build or run the technology itself.
Credit unions are member-owned and rooted in their communities, but many still operate on systems that are decades old, which limits what they can offer their members. We're building the alternative.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
