Job location

Remote, UK (1 day per fortnight in London or Manchester)

The Role

Our clients are looking for Tech Leads to join their team.

About You & The Role

As a Tech Lead, you will provide technical leadership across the re-factoring of key digital applications.. Embedded within a large programme team, you will collaborate directly with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to shape technical design, guide system development, and drive modern migration strategies. You will serve as the technical authority on the team, ensuring high-quality engineering standards and alignment with overarching architectural goals.

  • Proven experience leading software engineering teams and driving technical decisions on large-scale projects.
  • Strong background in application re-factoring, modernisation, and cloud migration strategies.
  • Solid technical design and architecture skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into robust technical solutions.
  • Experience enforcing quality assurance, code reviews, and technical governance standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively within large multi-disciplinary teams.

Some Things You'll Be Working On

  • Guiding the end-to-end technical design, development, and migration of critical applications.
  • Overseeing core technical decisions and ensuring all outputs align with broader enterprise architectural direction.
  • Assuring the quality of key technical artefacts, deliverables, and codebase refactoring efforts.
  • Collaborating closely with client teams, product owners, and program managers to mitigate technical risks.
  • Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers within the team to foster technical excellence and best delivery practices.
