Technology Risk & Controls Associate
As a Technology Risk & Controls Associate in our Cybersecurity & Technology Controls (CTC) organization, you won’t just be watching over our data – you’ll be finding innovative new ways to protect it. To do that, you’ll be part of a highly motivated team focused on analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering solutions built to effectively manage risk and strengthen our operations.
You will work closely with the technology risk teams and cross-functional partners, contributing your skills and insights to the continuous improvement of risk management methods. As a valued member of the team, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, making a tangible impact on technology risk and controls at the firm.
Through engagement with our stakeholders and senior leaders, you’ll sharpen your communication and presentation skills. As part of our global team of technologists and innovators, your work will have a critical impact on our company, as well as our clients and our business partners around the world.
The role will focus on building Regional Governance reporting products which will be used by Technology Risk Control Managers and senior leaders across EMEA through Governance Forums, Control Committees and Board Meetings. The successful candidate will be able to both design, build, and deliver engaging, risk focused presentations at scale whilst understanding the underlying datasets to enable a risk story to be told, driving actions and protecting the bank.
Responsibilities
The EMEA CTC Governance Risk Analysis & Reporting role includes specific responsibilities:
- Develop and create Cybersecurity & Technology Control material for review / discussion across multiple EMEA focused Governance forums
- Risk analytics and articulation focusing on both region and legal entity impacts to ensure appropriate risk management activities are taken and prioritized
- Assist in monitoring technology risks, ensuring compliance with firm standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, controls, and action plans for technology-aligned processes
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented controls, contribute to the recommendations for improvements and addressing gaps in risk management
- Communicate risk-related findings and updates to relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and risk appetite
- Develop tools / mechanisms for managing data and assessing risk / trends
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across technology and core partners
- Identification of sub-optimal processes and development of solutions to improve, automate and streamline

Required Skills and Capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly proficient in MS Office applications
- Problem solving action driven mindset
- Detail oriented with the ability to work to tight deadlines and produce high quality outputs
- Experience in working with diverse cross geography teams
- Self-motivated individual, comfortable working without close supervision
- Team player with proven ability to build strong cross-business relationships
- A graduate degree or equivalent experience (in computer science, information systems management, business administration or related field) is preferred.
