Technical Assurance Lead
Contract | 12 months initial
Location: Reading - 2 days per week onsite
Rate: £500-£600 per day Outside IR35
Clearance: Active SC or DV Clearance
I'm currently recruiting for a Technical Assurance Lead to join a specialist UK cyber and digital consultancy supporting a major international defence equipment programme.
You'll play a key role in developing the client's Digital Assurance capability, setting the assurance strategy for the programme and establishing a strategic technical baseline across a complex, high-assurance defence environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and mature the client's Digital Assurance capability
- Develop and implement the programme's assurance strategy and assurance plan
- Lead assurance activities across complex programme capabilities
- Provide technical assurance at formal design reviews and test events
- Provide robust professional feedback on technical designs and programme deliverables
- Produce strategic assurance documentation and establish the technical baseline
- Support the client in continually improving its digital assurance posture
Required Experience:

- Demonstrable experience developing assurance strategies and plans within a defence or CNI environment
- Strong experience leading assurance activities across complex programmes
- Experience working across technical design reviews, testing and assurance activities
- Strong technical writing skills with experience producing strategic assurance and baseline documentation
- Strong understanding of digital/technical assurance within high-assurance environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
