Role Description
The Technical Engineer will provide remote technical support and guidance for Navien’s boiler and condensing technology products, assisting installers, service engineers, and customers with diagnostics and troubleshooting. This full-time remote role involves responding to technical inquiries, analyzing product performance issues, and recommending solutions in line with company standards and safety regulations. The Technical Engineer will document cases, update knowledge bases, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to report recurring issues and contribute to product improvement. The role also includes supporting training initiatives, such as preparing technical materials and occasionally delivering remote training sessions, to help partners and customers better understand Navien’s systems. The Technical Engineer will work closely with customer service teams to ensure timely, accurate, and professional resolution of technical cases.

Qualifications

- Strong technical understanding of boilers, heating systems, or related HVAC technologies, including fault-finding and diagnostics.
- Experience with remote technical support, including phone, email, and online tools, and the ability to translate complex technical information into clear guidance.
- Knowledge of relevant UK standards, safety regulations, and best practices in installation and maintenance of heating equipment.
- Proficiency with technical documentation, including reading and interpreting schematics, manuals, and specifications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to handle inquiries calmly and professionally.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with digital tools and remote collaboration platforms, and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement of processes and knowledge bases.
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or heating/HVAC disciplines; Gas Safe registration or equivalent industry certification is an advantage.
- Experience in a similar technical support, field service, or engineering role within the heating, plumbing, or building services sector is highly beneficial.
