Technical Manager - IT Infrastructure/Networking
Up to £90k + Bonus + Excellent Package - 2 days on site.
A leading organisation in the Bristol area requires an experienced Technical Manager to lead a team responsible for the availability, resilience, and security of enterprise infrastructure and network platforms.
About the Role
This is a management role with a strong focus on leadership, governance, and operational resilience. The successful candidate will ensure that critical infrastructure services meet regulatory, security, and business continuity requirements, while acting as a trusted partner to senior technology, risk, and business stakeholders.

Requirements
Suitable candidates will have the following:
- Extensive experience of working within regulated, enterprise-sized environments - ideally within the financial/professional services space. Please note this is essential.
- Experience of leading, developing, and performance-managing infrastructure and network engineering teams, setting clear objectives and developing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Substantial experience of providing oversight of virtualisation platforms (VMware vSphere, NSX), physical compute, and enterprise storage (NetApp SAN/NAS/HCI) through effective team leadership and vendor management.
- Experience of governing complex data centre and enterprise network architectures, including LAN/WAN, VLAN/VxLAN segmentation, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- A good knowledge of infrastructure security and configuration standards and aligning these with ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and internal risk frameworks.
- Experience of driving service improvement through standardisation, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives, improving stability, control, and operational efficiency.
