What You'll Be Doing Here
As our Technical Accounts Director, you will hold overall strategic ownership and leadership of our major static water hygiene and treatment contracts in Cumbria. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team and serving as the contract owner, you will act as the primary relationship owner and escalation point for senior stakeholders.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the contract across all sites.
- Chair weekly internal reviews with Operations and Group Key Accounts, produce and deliver executive summary reporting to senior stakeholders, and lead high-level contract reviews, retenders, and service expansion discussions.
- Take full ownership of the contract's financial performance, margin management, cost control, and invoicing accuracy.
- Ensure daily billing for reactive works is completed, prepare invoicing, and review and approve high-value or high-risk quotations.
- Maintain oversight of contract compliance and regulatory standards, including ACoP L8, HSG274, and SFG legionella guidelines.
- Own the contract risk register, track and close out mitigation actions, and ensure absolute audit readiness for external inspections.
- Ensure all reactive works, service quotations, and operational deliverables consistently meet strict contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Identify and provide strategic justification for resource requirements and planning across the Account Manager, Supervisor, and Coordinator team, driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
