Location

Widnes - covering an area from Scottish borders to the Midlands on the east (Leicester) and to South Wales (Cardiff) to the west.

Job Type

Full-Time, Permanent (37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday)

What You'll Be Doing Here

  • As a Technical Account Director you'll have overall ownership and oversight of a major client's water hygiene contract across 62 locations.
  • Produce and deliver executive summary reporting to senior stakeholders/client.
  • Chair the weekly internal review meeting with Operations and Group Key Accounts.
  • Ensure all reactive works and service quotations are delivered in line with contractual KPIs/SLAs.
  • Primary escalation point and relationship owner for our client's senior stakeholders.
  • Overall commercial and financial performance of the contract (margin, cost control, invoicing accuracy).
  • Contract compliance and risk oversight, including ACOP L8/HSG274 & SFG legionella and water hygiene regulatory standards.
  • Own the contract risk register and ensure mitigation actions are tracked and closed out.
  • Identify and provide justification for resource requirements and planning across the Account Manager, Supervisor and Coordinator team.
  • Lead contract review, retender and growth/expansion discussions with the client.
  • Ensure daily billing for all reactive works are completed by the team and ready for invoicing.
  • Check and approve high-value or high-risk quotations before issue.
  • Ensure audit readiness and support external audits/inspections.

Who We're Looking For

  • Extensive background in the water hygiene and compliance industry, with deep technical knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, and legionella control frameworks.
  • Proven track record of directing large-scale, complex contracts and managing high-level relationships with major public sector or corporate clients.
  • Strong financial literacy with demonstrable experience managing high-value account margins, cost control, and complex billing structures.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally.
  • Must be willing to apply and obtain a valid P4 pass and Security Clearance (SC).
