🚀 Technical Account Manager – Cyber Security Managed Services | £60,000 – £70,000 + 50% OTE | UK
A genuinely blended opportunity for an experienced Technical Account Manager to join a CREST-accredited, multi-award-winning cyber security managed services provider. You'll own the full client relationship for a portfolio of accounts — combining strong technical credibility with commercial account management. That means translating SOC findings and threat data into clear, actionable advice for clients, while also owning retention, renewals, contract health and account growth.
This isn't a purely technical role or a purely commercial one — it's for someone equally comfortable presenting risk findings to a board and negotiating a renewal.
✨ Why this role stands out:
- Real commercial ownership alongside technical credibility — manage renewals, retention targets, upsell/cross-sell and QBRs, not just act as a technical liaison
- A front-row seat to a broad managed security services portfolio backed by a 24/7/365 UK-based SOC, threat intelligence, incident response and compliance support
- A clear path into senior account or commercial leadership, with investment in training, certification support and a collaborative, inclusive culture
🎯 Responsibilities:
Technical
- Act as primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building deep understanding of each client's environment, risk profile and priorities
- Partner with SOC, threat intelligence and incident response teams to ensure client issues are triaged and resolved effectively
- Provide realistic, prioritised recommendations to reduce risk, drawing on cyber resilience scoring and NCSC CAF outputs
- Act as escalation point for client concerns, coordinating internal resources to resolve issues quickly
- Stay current on the evolving threat landscape and service roadmap to keep client advice relevant

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
