I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role is to join as a Technical Account Manager, to take over, manage, and grow a set of existing SMB and midmarket customers, including a 300 person national company, a 200 person charity, and a 150 person consultancy. They are all long-standing customers, with managed service contracts running, which you will earn commission on from month 1. There is also lots of opportunity for ongoing project work and pipeline existing in the accounts already (the existing account manager has relocated up north and has left the customers in a good place).

They have some really nice offices in London. They are a professional outfit, but the business has a friendly rather than City corporate feel. It is 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home, but days in also include seeing customers instead of going into the office.
