About the Role
As a Technical Account Manager, you will oversee and govern all technical support, delivery, forward strategy while identifying potential new opportunities for Acora and building a strong and trusted relationship with the customer. You will oversee and provide insight and guidance for a number of key functions within the Service Operations department that enable technical delivery as part of the wider Managed Service and projects.
What You'll Do
- Service delivery governance: Govern service delivery performance, ensuring compliance with agreed processes and clear oversight of SLA, KPI, and service data.

- Platform architecture advisory: Advise Data Operations on platform architecture and assess the operational impact of proposed changes.
- Lifecycle and upgrade management: Assess Microsoft releases and breaking changes, plan-controlled upgrades, maintain the platform change calendar, and communicate impacts in advance.
- Platform evolution and adoption: Lead quarterly platform-evolution reviews, evaluate new Microsoft capabilities, and recommend adoption opportunities for the customer’s technical strategy and forward roadmap.
- Capacity and cost advisory: Own CU and OneLake consumption forecasting, right-sizing, SKU recommendations, budget projections, and technical oversight of cost optimization.

- Acceptance into Service: Provide technical review, approval, and oversight to ensure service levels, support readiness, and operational continuity are maintained.
- Operational support and improvement: Work with operational and Service Delivery teams to resolve technical issues, guide major incidents, own escalations where possible, and ensure complaints, Continual Service Improvement, and Service Improvement Plans are technically valid.
- Documentation and runbook assurance: Own and improve technical documentation, Knowledge Base Articles, and platform runbooks, ensuring updates after every P1 or P2 incident and maintaining assurance over documentation quality.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with the Account Director, Enterprise Architect, and pre-sales team to identify opportunities for Fabric optimization, wider data-platform coverage, automation, ServiceNow integration, resilience testing, and additional DataOps or architecture-advisory services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
