Technical Account Manager
Belfast | £55,000 + benefits | Permanent | Office-based
Are you an experienced Account Manager, Client Delivery Manager or Operations Lead who enjoys leading teams, managing stakeholders and bringing structure to complex client accounts?
We're working with a growing Belfast-based management services business that partners with large global organisations, providing specialist support across project management, data, security, finance, compliance and operational delivery.
They're now looking for a Technical Account Manager to take ownership of the operational side of one of their key global client accounts.
The Role
This is a slightly different type of Account Manager position.
Rather than being solely focused on direct client management, your role will be centred around supporting and managing 8 team leads across a range of different functions.
You'll become the key operational link between the team leads and senior management, making sure priorities are clear, issues are dealt with and the account continues to run smoothly.
You'll work closely with the team leads to understand their priorities, monitor delivery and ensure the wider account is operating effectively.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and support 8 team leads across different business functions.
- Hold regular 1-to-1s with each team lead.
- Build a strong understanding of what each team does and how they deliver for the client.
- Help manage competing priorities and resolve operational issues.
- Act as the key operational point of contact for senior management.
- Produce weekly reporting on delivery and progress.
- Prepare monthly compliance and financial reports.
- Analyse data and turn it into clear, concise and presentable information.
- Communicate regularly with senior stakeholders.
- Support the teams in managing changing client requirements.
- Become involved in regular client calls as you develop into the role.
- Take ownership of the account and ensure effective communication across all areas of delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

What Does Success Look Like?
The successful person will become the go-to operational lead for the account.
You'll build strong relationships with the 8 team leads, understand what is happening across each area and ensure that priorities, reporting and communication are managed effectively.
Ultimately, you'll reach a point where senior management can trust you to run the account operationally without needing to be involved in every day-to-day decision.
What's On Offer?
- £55,000 salary, with flexibility for the right person.
- 33 days' annual leave including bank holidays.
- Private medical insurance from day one.
- Pre-existing conditions covered.
- Option to add family members to the medical scheme.
- Free on-site parking.
- Belfast-based office.
- Monday-Friday, office-based position.
If you're looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership of a high-profile client account, lead a strong group of team leads and have a real impact on how the operation runs, we'd love to hear from you.
